Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) ist geschieden und alleinerziehende Mutter einer Tochter, deren Weggang ans College bevorsteht, was Eva zu schaffen macht. Wenigstens ihre Arbeit als Masseurin lenkt sie ab, bis sie den lustigen und sympathischen Albert (James Gandolfini) kennenlernt, der ebenfalls allein lebt und ihr wie ein Gleichgesinnter erscheint. Zwischen beiden beginnt eine wunderbare Romanze. Parallel freundet sich Eva mit Marianne (Catherine Keener), einer ihrer neuen Klientinnen, an, die eine begnadete Dichterin ist, aber etwas zu viel über ihren Ex-Mann herzieht. Als Eva die Wahrheit über Mariannes Ex erfährt, beginnt sie ihre Beziehung zu Albert, die anfangs so perfekt schien, anzuzweifeln.... (Fox Deutschland)

A pretty pleasant and chill flick that will neither offend nor excite you. In terms of atmosphere, it felt the closest to Gilmore Girls. You simply sit down on the bar stool, have a cup of coffee and chill while watching TV. What else do you need when you get back from home totally exhausted but a movie that is based on life and that will provide you with pleasant entertainment?

It's strange to watch James Gandolfini when you know he's dead, on the other hand, it's great to watch him as a mature actor who can transform from a mobster to a man who convincingly handles romance, both from a comedic and dramatic perspective. "And So It Goes" is a film that agrees with the current trend of modern dramatic comedies, which are intelligent, naturally acted, and overall try to appeal to multiple viewers' emotions. The film succeeds well in this, mainly thanks to the acting performances, although the story stumbles here and there.
