Der Schauspieler Chin steckt bis zum Hemdkragen in der existenziellen beruflichen und privaten Krise. Eines Tages mietet er ein Zimmer in einem heruntergekommen Wohnsilo, um sich dort aufzuhängen. Doch Chin wird gerettet, von Yau, einem der vielen merkwürdigen Bewohner des Hauses. Yau war früher Vampirjäger und betätigt sich nun als Betreiber des kleinen Restaurants im Haus. Chin freundet sich mit ihm an, beschließt, noch ein wenig zu leben, und begreift langsam, in was für einem Geisterhaus er gelandet ist. (Silverline Movie Channel)

Subjectively, almost impossible to endure. One the hand, this film is insane fantasy silliness, on the other, (and I repeat, subjectively) it’s aesthetically awful. It feels like some sort of weird blend of cheap TV, like a South American soap opera, and a CGI fest out of a computer game. The result is downright horrible in many scenes, where things look artificial, even when they probably aren’t (the actors :-D). Painful experience.

Hong Kong produced Rigor Mortis appealed to me visually, although they use CGI, and you can tell a lot. The visuals are really imaginative, making the movie scary, inventive, and fantastical. Sure, there could have been a better supporting narrative, and the CGI could have been better and more realistic. However, that being said, this movie is still a visually interesting piece of work that I enjoyed watching.
