Niemand beim britischen Geheimdienst MI5 glaubt an den Tod des erfahrenen Agenten Harry Pearce (Peter Firth). Nachdem bei einem Gefangenen-Transport der gefährliche Terrorist Quasim flüchten konnte, wurde Pearce als verantwortlicher Kommandant vom Dienst suspendiert. Seitdem ist der Meisterspion wie vom Erdboden verschluckt. In der Zwischenzeit hat Pearce das Versteck Quasims entdeckt. Der Agent möchte von dem Terrorchef erfahren, wer ihm innerhalb des MI5 zur Flucht verholfen hat. Im Gegenzug kontaktiert der britische Geheimdienst den inzwischen zurückgetreten Will (Kit Harington), der von Pearce einst ausgebildet wurde. Will soll herausfinden, wo sein früherer Lehrer steckt. Er entdeckt Pearce und wird von diesem in seine Pläne eingeweiht. Pearce möchte so schnell wie möglich den Verräter in den Reihen des MI5 bloßstellen. Als Quasim eine verheerende Bombenexplosion in der Londoner Innenstadt plant, müssen Pearce und Will wie in alten Tagen erneut zusammenarbeiten, um den Anschlag zu vereiteln. Aber auch der Verräter im MI5 bleibt nicht untätig. (ServusTV)

Englisch For me, this film is quite a good calculation. It was expected that the series "Spooks", known in Czech as "MI5", is one of those that are quite well-known and popular. Jon Snow, sorry, Kit Harington is a favorite of one generation, and on top of that, there is a slightly more intense approach to the action thriller, which is something that interests the modern generation. It's like a cheaper version of "Mission: Impossible". And yeah, it's not much more than that. (02.10.2015)

Englisch If I don’t count James Bond, it seems to me that the English turn movie spies into boring and uninteresting caricatures with dry humor. But Spooks: The Greater Good is a different thing, similar to Bond in particular. Proper action that doesn’t bore you from the beginning till the end. And at the same time, it stars unfamiliar actors and plays around with them brilliantly and so you are waiting for what is going to happen to the characters at any moment. I wasn’t expecting this, but I got really great action. How come that this movie in particular has a weak score of 60% from the reviewers? (25.05.2016)
