Englisch Honestly, I am used to much more significant films from Polish cinema, either with strong moral messages and serious ethical issues, or with grand entertainment and high-quality humor like Machulski's comedies. Operation Simoom is a film you can relax with, featuring several Polish stars led by Bogusław Linda and Olaf Lubaszenko. However, this spy film does not have a good enough script to surpass popular American films of a similar nature, which the Polish creators clearly attempted to imitate. Moreover, it balances on the edge of genres, some scenes - especially the one with crossing the Iraqi border during the escape - confuse me with their pathos and overall exaggeration. I interpreted it as ironic exaggeration, but if Pasikowski meant it seriously, his film mercilessly deserves to have two stars taken away. Overall impression: just barely 50%. ()
