Gegensätzlicher könnten die beiden Cops gar nicht sein. Und dennoch müssen Ousmane und François nun eng zusammenarbeiten. Die Leiche der Gattin eines einflussreichen Pariser Industriellen ist im Müll an jener Autobahn gefunden worden, die ihre beiden Welten trennt. Ousmane kommt aus den problembeladenen Banlieues, während François seinen Dienst als Schreibtischhengst in einem schicken Nobelviertel versieht. Bevor das Ermittler-Duo jedoch Teamgeist entwickelt, fliegen ordentlich die Fetzen. (ORF)

Talking about a main story of the crime comedy "Unusable" doesn't make sense. A pair of police officers, each from a different district, each from a different world, have to come together and solve a rather uninteresting case. But because there is chemistry between them, it's fun to watch. However, that chemistry doesn't work between them. It's just a pile of not very interesting and not very funny scenes that can temporarily capture your attention, but overall it's nothing that could truly entertain you for an hour and a half. It lacks a proper climax. It's a shame that the hinted themes - racism, cultural differences, social differences - are not further explored. Everything is subordinated to making it entertaining. It's not. And that's just bad. A French film that is French only in the language spoken in it. It resembles more of an unfinished American comedy.
