I may have liked it more half a year ago, but I’ve watched so many horror B-movies from the 80s since then that I’m saturated and now only one in ten can satisfy me, and The Dead Pit is not exceptional. What bothers me the most about films like this is that they aren’t scary, it’s mostly about entertainment, with performances that correspond to that, and the tension is up to the viewer to find. That’s why I now prefer horror from the 1970s and the present, which I find a lot more diverse.
