(Verleiher-Text)

Englisch In the first half of the 80s, we Eastern Europeans didn't have many cultural pleasures coming our way from the West. Italian music and film production were in a more advantageous position for some reason. Italian crazy comedies successfully filled movie theaters at that time. At the age of 13-14, I had a great time watching Steno's films, even though I already perceived that they were certainly not a soulful spectacle. Humor "produced" through grimaces and childish jokes was characteristic of Paolo Villaggio, and his name became a kind of trademark in a certain sense. As a teenager, his escapades certainly didn't offend me. However, time doesn't stand still, and what once made us laugh now, at best, causes awkwardness. If there are any positives here, one is the presence of Ornella Muti, whom Italians once voted as the most charming Italian actress of all time in a poll. In this film, she is not only lovely but also devilishly sexy, which doesn't always mean the same thing. In punk attire with provocative makeup, she brought in the male audiences. Overall impression: 35%. ()

Englisch I can still recall rolling on the floor laughing while watching this comedy. But that was when I was ten. It wasn’t all that hilarious today, quite the opposite. The humor was terribly unoriginal and Paolo Villaggio’s character was pathetic rather than funny. In the end, I gave up on the hope of being amused and at least enjoyed the presence of Ornella Muti.
