Lagertha und Ragnars Sohn Bjorn sind mit ihren Kriegern eingetroffen, um an seiner Seite Kattegat zurückzuerobern. Dort hat sich Jarl Borg mit seiner Streitmacht verschanzt – doch Ragnar scheint ihm dank einer List dennoch überlegen zu sein. In Wessex ist Athelstan derweil noch einmal mit dem Leben davon gekommen, während die Wikingertruppe unter Horik herbe Verluste hinnehmen musste. Doch König Ecberts Blutdurst ist noch nicht gestillt. Very action packed. A good battle, but it doesn't move the plot along significantly, so it's more of a pretentiously filmed romp, but the developments around the Priest are interesting and more crucial. And Lagertha is still reigning over the women.

The fifth episode was among the more action-packed ones, after many encounters there was some villainous activity and later on a legitimate fight. The creators clearly excel at action scenes, so I had no reason to lower my rating. Even the scenes that didn't have much action at the moment didn't bore me, and I enjoyed myself throughout the entire time.
