The film, set in the aftermath of WWII, tells the story of two outsiders who have to find new impulses to carry on with their lives shattered by the past events. Tadeusz, a former member of the partisan Land Forces, from whom the war took everything and spared him nothing, sets out on a journey through Masurien. He meets Rose, a German soldier's widow ...
