Haunter - Jenseits des Todes

In der ersten Hälfte interessanter Aberglaube von der "anderen Seite", leider allmählich ertrinkend in ihren eigenen Regeln. Die Fans der Band Siouxsie and the Banshees werden sich über das T-Shirt der Hauptfigur freuen - daher grüße ich Darkrobyk :) (28.10.2013)

"Haunter" is not an exceptional horror movie, but if every horror film was made at least like this, then the level of the whole genre would be completely different. Yes, at times it is a bit overly complicated and it gets tangled up a bit unnecessarily, because the film actually works well and holds the viewer's attention. Thanks to that, you have the opportunity to watch something that will entertain you and that you will enjoy even as horror fans, because here and there it can easily give you chills. (26.09.2014)

A pretty well exploited idea (Groundhog Day meets The Others meets Insidious 2) delivered in a very uninteresting manner. I can imagine that a movie with this premise could be atmospheric, terrifying, psychedelic, unpredictable and surprising – ideally all together. Haunter unfortunately is none of that, it’s a non-conflicting, run-of-the-mill genre flick that will not make you regret having spent those 97 minutes of your time, but you won’t want to do it again. It is watchable, despite the presence of the unlikeable Abigail Breslin in the main role, and the occasional chaos (and I’d rather not think too much about the rules of that world). (22.10.2013)
