Englisch We have no choice but to applaud and silently envy the Polish filmmakers' great handling of the infamous events of December 1970, when the communist regime bloodily suppressed workers' protests on the Baltic coast. Without any exaggerations and cheap sentimentality, they outlined the moving story of the family of the shipyard employee Bruno Drywa against the backdrop of history. In this way, they succeeded in bringing the time period authentically closer to contemporary audiences. (85%) ()

Englisch A film that can serve as a tool to understand what was happening in Poland at the end of 1970. However, although it is a depiction of the tragedy based on the story of a real victim, Bruno Drywa (1936-1970), the film primarily works with emotions. We can enjoy the reference dedicated to Czechoslovakia, but everything else we have to study ourselves. The film could have been much more helpful in that regard. ()
