Auf dem ultragewalttätigen Gore-Splatter-Niedrigbudgetfilm ist es insgesamt ganz gelungen, aber diese Watte zwischen all den Grausamkeiten ist erschöpfend. An manchen Stellen erinnert die comicartige Brutalität an den kultigen Wolf, nur nicht mit so einem coolen Anti-Helden. Die letzten 15 Minuten sind ein unverfälschtes Massaker! (25.03.2012)

Adam Chaplin is a film that draws a bit from German exploitation, where the Germans excel in such splatter films. It doesn't focus much on the plot; it's just a basic framework. The main thing is that many characters die here, and it's really very bloody. The film fulfilled this to perfection. And that's all it'll give you. And that's all you can expect. Adam Chaplin is for a niche audience. Too bad I prefer more elaborate stories. (02.06.2017)

“The best in the semi-amateur splatter genre” is a label that I find as attractive as “the best in scat porn”… It actually depends on your personal (dis)taste for this corner of filmmaking. I found it unwatchable, and was bored and annoyed to death after ten minutes. (21.03.2012)
