Alex (Sverrir Gudnason) ist ein ziemlicher Loser. Seine Träume von einer Theaterkarriere platzen und dann verlässt ihn auch noch seine Freundin Lisa. Der einzige Job, den ihm das Arbeitsamt anbietet, ist, als Betreuer in einem Behindertenheim in einer Provinzstadt zu arbeiten. Alex versucht das Beste daraus zu machen und meldet seine Behinderten-Truppe bei 'Schweden sucht den Superstar' an - das kann natürlich nur schiefgehen... (Ascot Elite Home Entertainment)

Enšpígl keeps on complaining. Someone recommended the movie to him, but who would have thought the Scandinavians would produce a very average comedy drama. And they had such an interesting premise to start from. But all in all, I don’t think it was all that bad, even though things could have been better. That bunch of mongoloids was great at times, but they suffered from the plot itself that was headed in direction I simply didn’t enjoy. I mean bits of the movie were good, but the whole thing was utterly mediocre. And if you get your hopes up, you might even end up getting pissed about it, just like Enšpígl did. :)
