Englisch After years, I decided to give Stolen another go, just to see if I had been too harsh. Turns out, I wasn't. Considering the creative mess this film is, it barely scraped by with my one-star rating simply because I was too lazy to bother changing it. Sure, it was action-packed to the brim, but a script devoid of basic logic can turn even an action movie into a snoozefest. Another issue was the main "hero"; a noble thief with a poignant life story and a great personality - I just couldn't root for someone like that, even when his suffering is deepened by the fact that his transsexual daughter gets kidnapped. / Lesson learned: Is the Terminator threatening you? Call Robocop. ()

Englisch The fact that Nicolas Cage has been appearing in the dumbest genre productions in the last 15 years can be considered a constant. It's a shame because he used to have more potential. Simon West is a decent craftsman, but the bad script simply cannot be overlooked. It feels promising for the first 10 minutes as you watch a briskly shot robbery, and then it goes downhill, and then it gets even worse. Overall impression: 25%. ()

Englisch Nicolas Cage once again took on a smaller, B-movie role. Many people say that he takes on everything to pay off his debts. Maybe it's true, maybe not, personally I like Cage and I am quite curious about every one of his films. So I also came across the film "Stolen". It is a piece that tries to follow the tradition created by the films "Phone Booth" and "Courier". It's a strange connection, but essentially it could be put together and the film "Stolen" was created. Nicolas Cage has an ultimatum. He needs to get money to get his daughter back, with whom he doesn't have a great relationship. Well, it's not surprising considering he was locked up in prison for a while. In order not to be portrayed as a complete crook, he ended up in prison because he tried to prevent his partner from committing a murder. But that cost him precious minutes and the co-perpetrators of the robbery left him behind. He tried to get away efficiently, but he couldn't. The police got him. He served his sentence and returned to normal life, where his former partner, who lost his leg thanks to Cage, is waiting for him. It bothers him a lot and he wants to vent all his anger. He then kidnaps Cage's daughter, blackmails him, and forces him to steal money. Because, as it usually goes, the police don't cooperate, and so it is necessary to take matters into one's own hands. How else. Malin Akerman has too little space to shine, although she still manages quite well. However, Simon West showed that "The Expendables 2" are mainly Sylvester Stallone's work and that he himself doesn't have such action capabilities because even in terms of action, he couldn't come up with anything new in "Stolen".
