Englisch The only domestically-produced film of 1916. After 17 films in 1913, 6 in 1914, and 2 in 1915, this was the logical outcome of the war. In those years, viewers were mainly served older series from all over the world with various stars, for example Magda Sonja. Today, however, it is not entirely clear what the audience's response was, given that there were only four newspaper articles about it, only one of which mentioned the film's star Ema Švandová. Heart of Gold is a very charming film, a rare confluence of film debutants, many of whom went on to make film history: Antonie Nedošinská, Zdena Kavková, Milada Smolíková, Vojta Novák, Viktor Nejedlý or František Roland, just to name at least the most successful ones. And of course, there was also Šváb-Malostranský in his 5th film. Therefore, I cannot but recommend the famous story of the locket. ()
