The project was originally intended as a feature document confronting the life stories of three men whose careers have been determined, in different ways, by drugs. One of them used to be one of the most distinctive inventors and pervitin “producers” in the Czech Republic, the second one worked in the Police Drug Squad for many years and the third one, a famous rocker, has become addicted to drugs. Dramatic turns in the careers of the trio of real heroes have later inspired the producers and movie makers to combine a documentary testimony with feature sequences. They mirror the fascinating fall to the bottom and the “way out of hell” back to life. (Verleiher-Text)

I'll admit right away that I was expecting a much harsher film that would cut deep into my heart and immerse me in a full-fledged depression. Nothing of the sort happened, and I was just amazed at how some people can openly talk about themselves, even uttering things that someone else would be ashamed of and wouldn't want to admit publicly. It's good, but I don't think the chosen format enhances it.
