Im 7. Jahrhundert ziehen die Wikinger sengend und brennend durch Europa. Ihr Anführer, König Ragnar, fällt auch in Britannien ein, wo er die Herrscherin eines kleinen Reichs vergewaltigt. Sie bringt einen Sohn zur Welt, der von den Wikingern als Sklave gehalten und erklärter Feind von Einar, Ragnars anderem Sohn, wird. Beide verlieben sich in dieselbe Prinzessin, die ebenfalls in die Hände der blonden Barbaren gefallen ist. (ORF)
