Brutale Geschichte aus der Werkstatt der Shaw Brothers, in der ein ständig tyrannisierter junger Mann eine Armee giftiger Schlangen zähmt, die ihm bei der Pflege und Rettung vieler von ihnen hilft, um Rache zu nehmen: den Tod all seiner Feinde. Und so beginnt er die Straßen von Ganoven, Dieben und Nutten zu säubern... Brutalität, Gewalt und Erotik, oft alles zusammen: so "reichhaltig" ist zum Beispiel die Szene, in der es dem Helden gelingt, mehrere Schlangen in die Genitalien einer gefesselten Prostituierten zu stecken. Was jedoch die Gesamtqualität betrifft, ist der verwandte Film "The Calamity of Snakes" (1983) noch eine Klasse besser.

Despite the first impressions, when you think it will mainly be about torture, you will eventually find out that there is also a romantic aspect to it, so the film somewhat oscillates between genres. However, if you enjoy more extreme movies, "She sha shou" definitely has something to offer. The snake scenes are truly unbelievable and hard to surpass even in today's time. And besides, it also has a storyline!
