Feature film about music composer, songwriter and singer Zuzana Michnová, lead vocalist of the currently reunited band Marsyas. At the age of 64, she's been touring around the Czech Republic and all the shows are sold out. The movie is a surrealistic cinematic poem with colourful pictures. The film Regarding Fame I Can't Complain feels like a crazy dream that never ends, it's a fascinating collage of memories, rare archive material and interviews with music business figures. The documentary is simply so intriguingly conceived and filmed that I just can't rate it lower. I enjoyed this, even though I basically don't know Zuzana Michnová's personality and learned about her only through this. I liked the way they managed to play with form, to play with film as a medium. It’s brilliantly conceived, which is the basis of why I enjoyed it so much.
