Tagsüber ist Griff ein durchschnittlicher Büroangestellter in einer durchschnittlichen Stadt. Sein Leben ist einsam, von den Kollegen wird er schikaniert und sein einziger Freund ist sein Bruder. Doch nachts nimmt Griff seine andere Persönlichkeit an, er streift durch die dunklen Straßen und beschützt die Unschuldigen und Schutzbedürftigen vor den Gefahren, die im Schatten lauern. Griff was quite peculiar, and I mean both the film and the character. It took me a while before I was able to fully distinguish between fantasy and reality. The filmmakers did a great job of confusing me, I have to give them credit for that. The film has a little bit of everything; a little bit of comedy, a little bit of drama, and a little bit of romance, none of which dominates over everything else. It’s probably the reason why I’m not giving it a higher rating. I think that much more could have been gotten out of the premise, and it feels as if the filmmakers got stuck about halfway through. The film is as odd as the two main characters, and I approached it from two points of view. On the one hand, it shows what it’s like when a person who lives beyond reality is truly understood. On the other, it answers the question as to why it’s not a good idea for two people to start a relationship when both of them have a problem with an addiction of some sort. Finally, I can't help but comment on Maeve Dermody. In the past, I would have called her a beautiful, sexy woman, but that's not allowed anymore, so I won't do that. / Lesson learned: If you're trying to walk through a wall, don't do it with a running start.
