It's still coming out to five pieces for me, although a bit unstable. Cameron, whom I really can't like anymore, got way too much space and under normal circumstances, it would cost the episode a star, but the magic and Jay's problems with pregnant Gloria overshadowed everything. 5 stars. // "Jay, help me, did you hear that?" Once again, Claire's enthusiasm for Halloween and the reason why carolers avoid the Dunphy's house completely blew me away, it was a blast :-) I enjoyed how, thanks to the child, Gloria's explosive Colombian nature came to the surface and Phil's passage, that was just the icing on the cake. // "Claire, you're the type of woman who scares someone a hundred times more when not wearing makeup." / "Illegal? The garden clearance was brilliantly enlivened by Jay, who perfectly glossed the whole event. I increasingly have a feeling that Luke has certain mental deficiencies, but despite that, he means well. His manipulative skills, however, are definitely at a very high level, while his father's abilities, on the other hand, are exactly what I like. // "And have you considered that this is a cardiovascular exercise machine that will improve my health?" The creators of the series have been trying to convince me successfully that the third season was only an unfortunate exception to an otherwise exceptional quality. Haley's college life has affected the whole family in the way that I enjoy, Jay's situation was perfect, and surprisingly, I also enjoyed Cameron's "Affect" this time. // "Unbelievable! I had a great time again, even though the eighth episode wasn't as humor-filled as the previous one. The advantage was that nothing annoyed me, so I was able to relax and enjoy all three Bar Mitzvahs and Phil's unexpected date. // "Phile Dunphy, this is the year 2025, welcome, you are completely new here." This time, there was nothing to think about, it was a clear five, I had a great time from beginning to end. I had a great time during the tenth episode, even though I initially thought that Cameron would definitely dampen it for me. It didn't happen (fortunately). In the end, it turned out to be a fantastic mix of trickery and schemes, nicely topped off by Jay's trick to stop arguments. New Year's Eve pleased me probably the most by being strongly unconventional. Thanks to the fact that the joint celebration was split into separate segments, I received another good dose of humor. Ok, the star of the episode was Mitchell and Cameron, who unnecessarily slowed down the pace of the episode, but Jay's and Gloria's shenanigans, and especially Phil's reaction to Kenny, were perfect. Gloria's approach to Manny brought sacrifice to a completely new dimension, but I'm very curious about where Stella is. // "The best thing about a kiss is that you can tell your friends about it. I need to apologize to Phil, despite his great personal commitment, this time I was won over by a visit from Colombia and excellently executed references to The Godfather. The fourteenth episode was indeed weaker and noticeably lacked the better moments. There could have been less of Cameron and rehearsing for the school performance because I didn't enjoy it too much. On the golf course, I would have welcomed more of Jay's tough comments, you can never have enough of those. 4*- // "It's like playing Scrabble with Haley, after a few rounds, I'm just playing against myself." Although the Valentine's episode wasn't bad at all, I was still a bit disappointed because I know the creators can move things along at a much better pace. However, I was pleased that Claire got a chance to enjoy her own little Halloween on Valentine's Day and Jay could once again show Gloria his manliness. // "Juliano? Claire? The sixteenth episode seemed weak to me. It wasn't a tragedy, but it didn't evoke any enthusiasm from me either. I quietly hope that this is not another decline in quality like in the third season, that would really disappoint me. After the not very successful previous episode, this episode improved my mood. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, and I initially had concerns whether the second meeting with Sal would be just empty talk. I would rate the eighteenth episode with four stars, but I was greatly pleased by Phil's DIY lesson for Haley and Alex, and the ending that revealed Luke's tough coaching methods. A successful episode, which I really enjoyed. The Dunphys' meeting with some older version of themselves was perfect, the trip to explore Lily's roots didn't promise such entertainment, but the clash with political correctness in a Vietnamese restaurant got me. I'm already looking forward to when Americans start learning new colors because saying, for example, yellow will definitely be unacceptable, I reckon it will become East Asian. //"Alex, what did I tell you about going out in the evening?" The twentieth episode wasn't bad, but the plot wasn't strong enough and the humor wasn't good enough for me to rate it with a higher number of stars. The situation around the sale of the renovated house started promisingly, but gradually fizzled out, and I was more entertained by Glorie, who faced further troubles. // "I'll bring you the ring, but you owe me eight dollars because I had to have the emerald changed." / "Welcome to the family!" I had a feeling that this episode was even weaker than the previous one and I was considering giving it three stars, but then I remembered my disappointment from the third season and decided to settle for a weaker four pieces. The fact is that I wasn't particularly amused by the adventures surrounding the Tooth Fairy, and this time Phil didn't really impress me either, which is concerning. 4* - // "I wanted to start writing after the divorce, but you know... life changed the plans." / "Remember that when you become ugly, this behavior won't fly anymore." I confess that if the affected Cameron did not appear so often in the episode, I would probably add a fifth star. From my perspective, this character rather harms the series; I really don't understand why the creators are trying to convince the viewer, in accordance with quotas, that gays are the same as the majority population, when they then stuff one of them with every imaginable stereotype and turn them into a thorn in... // "Glorie, believe me, when you stand next to me, you won't look stupid." / "What the hell was that?" This time, I didn't have to hesitate with the rating at all, I had a great time from beginning to end. Luckily, the creators managed to make me laugh with Lily's gymnastics scenes, and that won me over. The caravan doesn't need to be discussed, it was fantastic, especially the meeting of the depressed drivers completely cracked me up. // "Now that's called snooping?
