Claire will Halloween nach dem letztjährigen Eklat ruhiger angehen. Die Dekorationen sollen etwas familienfreundlicher ausfallen, als im Hause Dunphy sonst üblich. Phil eröffnet seiner Frau, dass er sie nicht für furchteinflößend hält. Er ahnt nicht, was er damit losgetreten hat und bereut diesen Fehler schnell. Lily möchte sich wieder als Prinzessin verkleiden. Cameron versucht sie davon zu überzeugen, ein anderes Kostüm auszuprobieren, aber Lily schaltet auf stur. Mitchell kennt den Grund dafür. (ORF)

Once again, Claire's enthusiasm for Halloween and the reason why carolers avoid the Dunphy's house completely blew me away, it was a blast :-) I enjoyed how, thanks to the child, Gloria's explosive Colombian nature came to the surface and Phil's passage, that was just the icing on the cake. // "Claire, you're the type of woman who scares someone a hundred times more when not wearing makeup." / "Illegal? Is it because of the color of my skin?"
