Claire missfällt es, dass sich Haley als Mutter so gluckenhaft verhält. Auch dass Alex Jobangebote danach bemisst, ob sie ihren ethischen Prinzipien entsprechen, hält Claire für problematisch. Sie selbst wäre nach der Familiengründung gerne früher wieder arbeiten gegangen. Doch gerade als Claire ihren Töchtern demonstrieren will, wie toll es ist, einen Job zu haben, sucht sie eine berufliche Katastrophe heim. Mitchell und Cameron predigen Lily unterdessen Grundsätze, die sie selbst nicht einhalten. (ORF)

The creators seemed to have worked some magic to make the gay party surprisingly entertaining. The dynamic shifted a bit in the fourth episode; all three storylines kept me interested. However, the Dunphys, for the first time this season, didn't really stand out and kind of blended into the average. Luckily, the average was bumped up a notch in this episode compared to the last. / "I almost forgot what her face looks like when she's telling the truth." / Lesson learned: Careful where you strike a pose.
