Die ganze Familie reist im Zug nach Portland. Jay's Ex-Frau Dede will sich erneut vermählen und hat zur Hochzeitsfeier geladen. Vor allem Jay sieht der Trauung freudig entgegen, denn er muss danach keinen Unterhalt mehr an Dede zahlen. Phil und Cameron lernen im Waggon ihren Lieblingsautor Simon Hastings kennen. Ihnen wird die Ehre zuteil, das erste Kapitel seines neuen Romans lesen zu dürfen. Luke und Manny nützen indes die Gelegenheit, um selbst auf Brautschau zu gehen. (ORF)

I liked the great train episode so much that not even Cameron bothered me in it. This was an approach that the creators could have used more often in the seventh season, I wouldn't have to lower my rating at least. I can't help it, but the plot with the book reminded me of an episode called "The Dictionary" from the third season of the series "Black Mamba". (That wasn't criticism but a compliment.) // "Well, Jennifer Lopez goes for a hundred, and yet sometimes I pretend she's my pillow."
