Alex kann nicht glauben, dass sie ex aequo mit Erzrivale Sanjai zur Jahrgangsbesten gekürt werden soll. Weder Alex noch Sanjai wollen sich mit dieser Lösung zufrieden geben. Ein Wettlauf unter Aufsicht von Direktor Brown soll die endgültige Entscheidung bringen. Dieser nimmt jedoch eine unerwartete Wendung. Unterdessen bereitet sich Gloria gewissenhaft auf ihre Einbürgerung in die USA vor. Doch als Glorias Ex-Mann ihr vorwirft, damit ihre alte Heimat Kolumbien zu verraten, erwachen in Gloria Zweifel. I can't say that I didn't enjoy the twenty-second episode, I just didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. Among the better aspects of this episode was definitely Gloria's effort to obtain American citizenship and Sunjay's mother, who was somewhat overemotional. 4* - "They called us to the principal's office a week before Alex's graduation." "There can only be two reasons for that, either she is the top student of the year, or they have introduced an award for the sexy dad." "You know, once I go through with this, I can sit on the jury, right? You still have the death penalty, don't you?" "You haven't been silent for this long, it scares me."
