Jay möchte seinen 65. Geburtstag so ruhig und entspannt wie möglich verbringen. Doch Phil hat anderes im Sinne und macht seinem Schwiegervater einen dicken Strich durch die Rechnung. Gemeinsam mit zwei Freunden entführt er das Geburtstagskind auf einen Angelausflug. Dort scheint jeder Spaß zu haben, nur Phil geht baden. Unterdessen sind Cameron und Mitchell nach der gescheiterten Adoption überrascht, als Lily sich statt eines kleinen Bruders nun ein Kätzchen wünscht. (ORF)

I did not give the fifth star mainly because I was expecting more daring on Jay's birthday. However, I was satisfied with how the creators followed up on the final episode of the previous season and overall, I had a good time. It wasn't excellent, but I laughed decently, and that counts.
