Communism: The History of an Illussion

A solid documentary trilogy that factually describes the rise and fall of an ideology and uses archival materials, as well as comments from historians and engaged politicians. However, it has one significant flaw. The used footage is too concise - communism was an ideology that fundamentally marked the 20th century, and describing events and phenomena would require a much longer scope. This way, important moments are reduced to one or two sentences. In this state, it is more of a tool for basic orientation in the topic rather than a work enriching history enthusiasts.
