The dance play adapts the legend of the girl danced to death putting it into an eighteenth-century rococo, a folk tale and a city environment of the sixties and using means of folk dance, classical ballet and modern dance. In all the three interpretations the girl is attracted from her lover by the magic of the black man: she has to obey the command of the miraculous red shoes and dance. In the turbulence of Part 3, however, she is not left alone, with the help of other young people she can get rid of the magic of the shoes. She walks happily with her young lover on the Margit híd (Margaret Bridge) at dawn and she drops the luring footwear into the water. (Verleiher-Text)
