When the yacht of the rich and beautiful Doris Worthington (Lombard) is shipwrecked, the survivors find themselves stranded on a deserted tropical island. The tides soon turn as it becomes evident that the lowly deckhand Stephen Jones (Crosby) is the only one with any natural survival skills. Der singende Matrose Bing Crosby, die dekorative Nymphe Carole Lombard, Ethel Merman in ihrem zweiten Spielfilm, viele andere Matrosen, ein Haufen, der immer bereit ist, einen neuen Cocktail zu probieren, und ein urkomischer Bär. All dies auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff... und dann auf einer Insel... und wieder auf einem Schiff. Eine großartige bis wunderbare verrückte Post-Code-Komödie, der dieser stinkende Puritaner noch nicht so sehr geschadet hat.

Although it initially seems like a film that will be quite heartwarming, it turns out to be, at times, a very good conversational comedy. It's through these dialogues that some great jokes are sometimes said, which can knock you out. I've laughed out loud a few times, which pleased me, and I quite enjoyed the movie.
