Hollywood style gala award ceremony. In other words, over the top, all for effect, full of big emotions, moving speeches, kitsch words of thanks and appreciation. On the other hand, this party was thrown for Al Pacino, so it is justified, although we hear this sincerely from only about two of the speakers. But I would have really appreciated it if they had not beeped out occasional vulgarities. So when they are recalling his performances, especially from his mafia-related career beginnings, you hear nothing but *beep*, *beep* or, most frequently, *beep-beep*.
