It is believed throughout the world that when an individual dies a horrific death, his soul manifests a tormented existence hovering between heaven and hell. The Haunted Forest is such a place, where legend has it that an evil spirit, Satinka, plagues the woods. Chasing the legend of the Satinka, a group of friends venture into the forest in hopes of finding any evidence of its existence. One by one, each of them disappear, and they realize there is more truth to the legend than any of them could have imagined. An unspeakable fate awaits all who cross into the haunted forest. Wenn man ab der Hälfte des Films die Minuten bis zum Ende zählt, stimmt wohl etwas nicht. Das Konzept wäre nicht komplett schlecht, aber die Umsetzung zerstört das restliche Potenzial. Schreckliche digitale Kamera, unechte Schockszenen, von denen nur eine erfolgreich ist, und Schauspieler, die völlig untalentiert sind, sodass nicht einmal ein Baum ihr "Talent" übertreffen könnte. Und dann spreche ich noch nicht einmal von der Hauptheldin Satinka, die auffällig an japanische Schwestern Kayako und Sadako erinnert. In einigen Einstellungen wird sogar schamlos von ihnen kopiert (siehe detailliertes Auge). Ich gebe nur einen Stern für die letzten 10 Minuten, die mich nur schwer (aber immerhin) aus meiner tiefen Lethargie geweckt haben. Hände weg!
