Major crap. The famous legend has become a comedy farce, it is about as atmospheric as a soap opera, and the period realism is as believable as Britney Spears at Carnegie Hall. And the "highlight" is the portrayal of Robin of Loxley himself, he’s such an unlikable and uncharismatic brat that you pray Guy of Gisborne will take him out as soon as possible. For a good Robin Hood TV series, go for the 22 years older one, with Michael Praed, beautiful music and the mythological atmosphere of that time. If Czech Television were to re-run it after all these years, it would be so much better this “Xena in pants”.

Nach ungefähr zehn Minuten der ersten Folge habe ich auf einen anderen Kanal umgeschaltet, denn sich eine "historische" Serie mit Kostümen anzusehen, die vom Niveau her einem mittelalterlichen Kinderfilm gleichkommen (Ringrüstung aus künstlichen Textilien á-la Plan 9 from Outer Space war ein wirkliches Highlight), mit einer Regie wie bei einer miserablen TV-Angelegenheit und schauspielerische Auftritte wie irgendwo aus einer englischen Grafschaft - nun ja, das liegt das unter meiner Würde.
