Toller Dokumentarfilm, der sich ausschließlich mit Slasher-Filmen beschäftigt, sowohl von Anfang an (Psycho, Bay of Blood) bis hin zu klassischen Serien und modernen Folterfilmen wie Hostel oder Saw. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wurde jedoch der Dekade von 1981-1983 gewidmet, als nach dem Erfolg von Friday the 13th eine unzählige Anzahl von Mordszenen entstanden. Filme wie Killer Rosemary, Sleepaway Camp, Happy Birthday to Me werden diskutiert, aber zu meiner Überraschung auch vergessene Perlen, die ich sorgfältig notiert habe und bald sehen werde. Der Film beleuchtet auch verschiedene Reaktionen, die der Horrorfilm zu dieser Zeit auslöste (amerikanische Zuschauer waren angewidert und versuchten ihn zu boykottieren), obwohl der Slasher nichts anderes versuchte, als vor AIDS zu warnen - denn wenn man viel Sex hat, stirbt man einen schmerzhaften Tod. Nur Jungfrauen überleben. Kurz gesagt, eine schöne Nostalgie.

As a lover of horror movies, I have to give this a high rating. It's not just because of the great shots from individual films that I felt nostalgic at times, but also because you learn about the motivations of the creators and that some of them are not afraid to say that they simply wanted to see killing or torture on the screen. This gives a fan a lot.
