If we ignore the superfluousness of this compilation that nobody really needs, we see that it is a successful cross-section of the best scenes and sketches to come out of Monty Python. The idea of releasing something like this is a big “Boo!". However, this takes nothing away from the genius of this humor that oozes with wit, absurdity and originality.

Manche könnten sagen, dass diese Personal-Best-DVDs überflüssig sind und dass es sie gar nicht geben müsste. Das stimmt aber nicht. Erics Auswahl enthält z. B. Szenen aus Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl oder dem deutschen Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus. Ich habe sie gekannt, was aber nicht bei jedem der Fall sein muss. Und vor allem gibt es hier Idles tollen Auftritt "Ein investigativer Journalist sucht Informationen über E. I., einen der Monty Pythons, wobei er seine Mutter, einen Gynäkologen sowie einen ehemaligen Nazi-Boss besucht". Eindeutige fünf Sterne – diejenigen, die mit fünf Sternen die Serie bewertet haben, müssen sie auch hier geben.
