Englisch Wes, Wes, do you know why the first one was so successful and opened the door for this brilliant and amazing sequel? Because it had a thick atmosphere, a moment of surprise, a breathtaking finale and a lot of horror scenes that really gave me chills at times. But this piece of crap is nothing, one big pompous nothing, which is at best ugly and disgusting, but narratively completely futile, gratuitous and desperately uninteresting, trying to hide the impotence of the director and the actors behind a bunch of horny and brutal creeps. Moreover, I didn't care about any of the main characters from the beginning, and the only thing I can say is that I didn't wish death on the two pretty "actresses". If you're looking for a dumb slasher with streams of blood and gushing guts, YES. But if, like me, you prefer a horror film with a meaningful story and a decent atmosphere, then NO, NO, NO. 30% ()

Englisch It’s not a complete disaster, as there is more than enough inventive gore. Yet the soldiers are incredibly stupid, which they indicate in their shitty training, only to confirm it in live action, where they cheerfully put down their weapons and smugly break the basic rules of the unit. To hell with these logical lapses because the director's ineptitude is the main problem. The soldiers chase mutants for an hour and a half without any introduction (the catchphrase "Work is work, family is a secret" doesn't excuse it), so there’s really no need to cheer for this bunch of wannabe cool guys. Moreover, the whole charade is hellishly serious, at times slipping into an unintentional level of self-parody. Aja's insight, which brilliantly spiced up the end of the first film, is very much lacking here. Someone should explain to this German boy scout that Korn documentaries and horror movies are not the same thing. ()

Englisch A poor sequel to Aja’s excellent remake. The illogical behaviour of the characters is painful to watch and there’s hardly any atmosphere. They didn’t spare on the gore, but it is awfully ineffective and unoriginal, and it’s all the film offers – without the gore, it’s about nothing. It’s sad, but only two stars – and I looked forward to it so much. ()

Englisch Boo! is not a completely accurate rating because, from a technical standpoint, there is still something to look at here and there. Some of the gore effects are interesting, as well as the relatively intense action scenes and minimal number of slow-motion shots. However, in terms of plot and overall concept, it is such a disgustingly and repulsively awful mess that it does not deserve even the slightest bit of pity. The director would need a triple brain examination. The first would be for the face of the film because no mentally stable person could make such garbage. The second would be for the unbelievably poorly chosen actors and the heaps of lapses in logic. And the third would be for the naivety with which they ventured into a sequel. Why? It was not needed in the slightest. The first one had some level of sarcasm and intense action, not to mention some blood. The second one is just carnage with a brutal amount of disgusting nastiness that make one want to skip certain moments. ()
