Dauersingle Matt Saunders hat mit Jenny Johnson endlich seine Traumfrau gefunden. Sie ist schön, sexy, intelligent und zudem noch völlig unkompliziert. Doch nach einigen Verbrachten Stunden, entpuppt sich seine Freundin als cholerisch, besitzergreifend und wahnsinnig eifersüchtig. Da gibt es nur einen Ausweg: Matt macht Schluss. Für Jenny eine Katastrophe, mit der sie nicht so umgeht, wie die normale Ex-Freundin. Denn erst jetzt muss Matt erfahren, dass in ihr Superkräfte schlummern. Als G-Girl kämpft sie für das Gute in der Welt und setzt sich für die Rechte der Unterdrückten ein. Normalerweise – aber bei Matt ist das etwas anderes. Und das bekommt er sogleich zu spüren. (TV24)

A regular commercial product that would have had more to offer if a higher-quality screenwriter and director worked on it. The concept is not at all bad and - after all, some of the jokes from the first part of the movie are not to be dismissed. Like this, though, it's just one in a long line of films that try to lure audiences with a star in the lead role and low-level humor. Overall impression: 25%.

Although I thought this would be a little better than it was in the end, this is a fairly pleasant thing to watch. Luke Wilson is extremely in his element and it’s fun watching how he deals with the diabolical Uma 'G-Girl' Thurman. The best thing was probably the shark. What else can I say? Simply a relaxing comedy.

Wenn das G-Girl mit dem Trottel gleich am Anfang Schluss gemacht hätte und wenn uns Herr Reitman ihre ganze Beziehung nur als Flashbacks gezeigt hätte, wäre Die Super Ex besser gewesen… So ist aus dem Film nur ein anspruchsloser Quatsch zum Entspannen geworden. Man muss sehr lange warten, bis etwas passiert. Der Abschlusskampf der zwei (Super-)Frauen ist gut.
