(Verleiher-Text)

Englisch Fantastic! I would never want to take part in a selection process like this, or to organise it, or to see it live. A brilliantly performed and written psychological game without a single weak spot and reliably entertaining. Only the stage of the IMF meeting is, well, only a stage. ()

Englisch I consider The Method to be a truly high-quality and unique film in the field of psychological conversational drama. Essentially, it is a kind of intellectual counterpart to one of those reality shows where you place a group of motivated people in one room and let them compete for the position of a manager in a large company. Additionally, as part of the testing, you try to manipulate them in a proper way to expose their natures to the maximum. Of course, it has a structure similar to a theater play, but that doesn't mean in the slightest that you would be deprived of anything significant, except for the magnificent visuals. It has tension, surprise, a sense of irony, and a cruel game, and it is also complemented by great actors who are unfamiliar to us. The best thing about it is that The Method does not present any grand truths in a banal way and above all, not unequivocally. It practically forces you to think about everything and each of the audition characters changes their rating several times in the eyes of the viewers. Characters are refined in the most intense moments. Of course, it can also be understood ideologically as a kind of critique of capitalism and free competition, but I wouldn't see it that simply. I also genuinely believe that the right person won, but I wouldn't want to live in a world where the other candidates didn't find suitable fulfillment. In addition, if I had to choose a friend, it certainly wouldn't be the winner of this competition. Overall impression: 95%. ()

Englisch A screenwriter’s perversion par excellence, with the director accepting the most thankless job ever. Seven people in an office compete with a clever set of tasks competing with each other for a position at a multinational company. May the most amoral wins. And the viewer shuffles their tips the characters pass the ball from one to the other in one bravura scene. Practically the same basis as 12 Angry Men, except without the applicability, hence the one star lower. Or at least the applicability is there, but nothing anyone can relate to... ()
