Vászka, the petty thief (35 Fontanka Street, just beside the palace of the erased Seremetyevs, staircase C, left in the yard) buries Ványka, the great village robber with honour, who returns from the other world to be grateful for this. They make an alliance. They find both the blood-dripping Sardinia key and the guide line on the sky-high tree by which they are able to loot the state safes. Comrade Zinovjev almost catches them with the help of Fegyka, preserved from the good old times of the Tsars. Ványka saves Vászka and helps him set the wonderful Tsarina free as well, and after the world famous wedding ceremony he takes a final farewell from his friends who all change for the better.
