The Dying Gaul

Robert Sandrich (Peter Saarsgard) is a fledging screenwriter whose life changes when he is offered a million dollars for his latest and most personal work: The Dying Gaul, the raw, heartbreaking autobiographical story of the death of his gay lover. But theres a catch, the studio thinks the project will only work if Robert changes his dead lover to a woman. Things get further complicated as Jeffrey (Campbell Scott), the smooth, ruthless studio executive chasing after the screenplay, lures Robert into an affair with his wife Elaine (Patricia Clarkson).
