The new film by Kjell Grede is based on a novel by Torgny Linfgren, an intricate tale of identity, life choices and love. The film is about Theodor and Paula. After a close and different childhood together - that none of them can forget - fate has separated them and they are now living completely different lives. Paula is having some success as a pop singer and Theodor is still living in the small town. He is part of the old Sweden, she belongs to the modern one.
