Ein alternder Professor will sich seine Pension mit Diamanten aus einer Bank versüßen. Er bittet einen Jugendfreund um Hilfe, der ist mittlerweile eine große Nummer in der New Yorker Unterwelt. Vier Männer schickt der Mafiosi nach Rio: einen Playboy (Robert Hoffmann), einen verbitterten Ex-Militär (grandios wie immer: Klaus Kinski), sowie einen Elektroniker und einen Safeknacker. Die Bank hat ein neues Alarmsystem, um es zu überlisten schmeißt sich der Playboy an die Bankangestellte Mary (Janet Leigh) heran, doch die gibt sich widerspenstig. (Sky Cinema)

Although this heist movie boasts an outstanding cast, it sticks to firmly to the established framework - familiarization with the plan, looking for a recruiting the right people in a slightly light-hearted vein, preparations for the job, the heist itself... This simply lacks any significant invention and at a fairly lukewarm pace. But all’s well that ends well and here especially, because in the final ten minutes the creators first dared to try something almost unseen before and then they add another two layers of icing on top.
