George Banks hat sich endlich damit abgefunden, dass seine heiß geliebte Tochter Annie das elterliche Haus verlassen hat. Da trifft ihn die nächste Hiobsbotschaft: Die Frischvermählte erwartet ein Kind und macht ihn somit zum Großvater. George stürzt tief in die Midlife-Crisis, die aber auch nicht ohne Folgen bleibt. x The film works as a comedy, it also works as a family movie, but it's evident that at times even the creators didn't know how to properly fill it to truly entertain the audience. But the actors are still the same and pleasant enough that it's bearable.
