Elcserélt ember

1914. The landowner Benedek Péter and his exact likeness, the mechanic engineer Pongrácz István, fight in the same battalion at the front. Benedek is killed in action, while Pongrác is hit by a bullet wearing Benedek's jacket. He is seriously injured in the head. The injured man is thought to be Péter, and has himself no recollections of what happened. He returns home as Péter. His wife is happy to see her rollicking, card-playing husband turned into a hard-working and loving husband as well as a devoted father in consequence of his accident. Although he eventually finds his way back to his true past, he no longer wishes to overturn his new life. (Verleiher-Text)
