Rund um die Welt haben Kinder und Eltern ihn fest ins Herz geschlossen, sein Motto "Yo, wir schaffen das" ist zum geflügelten Wort avanciert. "Bob der Baumeister", der beliebteste Handwerker der Welt, hat eine riesige Fangemeinde, die ihrem Liebling seit Jahren die Treue hält. Sein Einstand im SUPER RTL-Vorschulprogramm Toggolino liegt nun schon 14 Jahre zurück und noch immer ist der hilfsbereite Handwerker aus dem Hause Mattel eine der beliebtesten Vorschulserien des Kölner Senders. Jetzt präsentiert sich "Bob der Baumeister" im modernen Look, zudem bereichern zahlreiche neue Charaktere die Serie. Auch beim Storytelling hat sich einiges verändert: die Geschichten werden nun deutlich variantenreicher erzählt und orientieren sich stärker an der Realität. Die inhaltlichen Kernelemente wie Teamwork, Hilfsbereitschaft, Enthusiasmus und Wertevermittlung bleiben hingegen unangetastet. (Super RTL)

If you have a (very) young body at home (it really isn’t for girls) who can’t keep his eyes off cars, trucks, cement mixers, cranes and bulldozers, then you could do much worse in the field of series intended for the very young than with Bob the Builder who offers cute and clearly differentiated “this one does this and this one does that" vehicles to toddlers aged 18 months and up and for three-year-olds there is a little moral instruction which, unlike in similar programs for this age group, isn’t presented quite so stupidly. In this country, the series is spoiled by affected, infantile dubbing; it’s unwatchable. While the original is all-round fine in all respects.

Not demanding mainstream animated series for the youngest with a slightly didactic focus, which does not deviate from the boundaries of a mass product intended for the international market in terms of script and artistic execution. Because it was aired on ČT, it has a fairly decent dubbing. Overall impression: 45%. When nothing else, at least children will learn that life is not just entertainment, but also work, and things do not create themselves. :-)
