Blood Type ist einer der vergessenen Filme, die Hudson Leick während der Ära von Xena drehte. Damals hätten sich viele Fans über ein solches B-Movie mit ihrem Lieblingsschauspieler gefreut, aber das Angebot an solchen Projekten war rar. Heute ist es nicht viel besser, denn vor allem die Darstellerinnen von Xena haben den Durchbruch nicht geschafft (selbst die beliebtesten). 20 Jahre später sehe ich mir also Szenen aus diesem Film mit Hudson an, achte nicht wirklich auf den Film selbst, höre mir russische Schnellsynchronisationen an und habe Spaß daran, mir vorzustellen, was Screenshots von Hudson in diesem roten Lederkorsett im Jahr 1999 wert gewesen wären...

Well, yeah, I liked it. As a romance, it's quite cheesy, but combined with the fantasy element, it works quite nicely. Especially because it appealed to my taste, as I've been interested in similar stories lately. It's filmed at times unbelievably naively, and it's really hard to watch that romantic couple at times, but as a short story or novella, it would sound great.
