A poetic tribute to the writer, poet, and environmental activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, executed alongside eight other activists for opposing the environmental damage inflicted on Ogoni, their oil-rich homeland. Wiwa witnessed the initial entrance of foreign oil companies and the beginning of crude oil extraction in the Niger Delta region. Repeated oil spills and gas flaring led to the ecological degradation of Ogoniland. (Morelia International Film Festival)
