Für den Werbedesigner Nelson (Keanu Reeves) läuft einiges schief - erst verliert er seinen Job, dann seine Freundin. Eines Tages lernt er die exzentrische Sara (Charlize Theron) kennen und beschließt, einen Monat mit ihr zusammen zu leben. Sara möchte den arroganten Nelson in dieser Zeit zu einem besseren Menschen bekehren und ernennt ihn zu ihrem „Mr. November“. Das Rezept scheint aufzugehen, denn Nelson verändert sich tatsächlich zum Positiven. Er will Sara sogar heiraten, doch dann erfährt er ein Geheimnis über sie, das alles verändert. (ServusTV)

If I had to compare this movie to something, I would compare it to the cruelest reality that many of us are hiding but only a few actually open up honestly to prove that life is not just about nice chats over a pint of beer in some long-forgotten pub at the bottom of the world. Keanu Reeves knows something about it. Life put him through some hardships and this movie doesn’t go easy on him either. Charlize Theron is an excellent actress. Her performance in this movie is flawless. I really pitied her and at the same time I wished it would work out with her partner in this movie. The creators did not make it easy for them, which reminds me that in the beginning this movie was very romantic. But even the most beautiful moment has to come to an end…

My favorite matter, which I gladly defend against everyone. Romance with a touch of sadness is simply my weakness, and the touching story of a girl who, for more or less serious reasons, is afraid of commitments, and a man who, in his workaholism, only sees himself, and they searched for each other until they found each other, I cannot condemn in any way. Compared to "Autumn in New York," I always enjoy experiencing "November Romance" again.
