Die scharfsinnige Pilotin Estelle Vasseur (Diane Kruger) dominiert nicht nur die Lüfte, sondern auch ihr Leben mit Ehemann Guillaume (Mathieu Kassovitz), einem renommierten Arzt. Dabei strebt sie stets nach Perfektion und behält die Kontrolle. Als Estelle zufällig auf Ana Dale (Marta Nieto), eine ehemalige Geliebte und Fotografin, trifft, kommen bei ihr erneut Gefühle auf. Während die Affäre immer intensiver wird, hat sie wiederkehrende Visionen und Albträume. Als Ana dann auf mysteriöse Weise verschwindet, verliert Estelle allmählich den Überblick über die Realität.
