Jerry fühlt sich dem Himmel ganz nah In einem Heißluftballon will er seine Freundin Felicia mit einem Heiratsantrag überraschen. Dummerweise verträgt er weder die Höhe noch die Schaukelei, und so landet nur der Inhalt seines luftkranken Magens auf ihrem Designerkleid. Felicia nimmt dies zum Anlass, ihm zu eröffnen, dass sie sich ohnehin für einen anderen entschieden hat ihren Automechaniker! Auch sechs Monate später hat Jerry diesen Schicksalsschlag noch nicht verwunden. Genug getrauert, beschließt sein bester Freund Nick und überredet ihn zu einer Kreuzfahrt. Denn dort wimmelt es nur so von attraktiven, erlebnishungrigen Frauen - genau das richtige für die beiden. Vielleicht allerdings hätten sie sich nicht auf dem Parkplatz mit dem Herrn vom Reisebüro anlegen sollen und vielleicht hätten sie sich auch das Werbebanner auf der Gangway Socrates Club - Global Travel for the Gay Community genauer ansehen sollen... "Coach’s p****y just blew up" :-D Sometimes I feel like I'm from another world when I give 4 stars to a movie here that has a below average rating. I can't help it though, because I had a great time.

I must admit that this travesty made me laugh a couple of times, and Cuba Gooding Jr. and Horatio Sanz made a rather likable duo, but to base the whole plot on dirty talk, hot guys or shots of sexy half-naked models (which isn’t so bad for us boys) seems pretty lame and doomed to a low rating. Really, until the aforementioned models appeared on the scene, the film managed to disgust me just enough. Yet, even then it's not great, and horny Horatio and amorous Cuba Gooding do their best to entertain, and together with the likeable Roselyn Sanchez and the "charming" Roger Moore they manage to make Boat Trip a watchable and briskly paced spectacle. I wouldn't put this teen comedy in the trash, but I don't need to see it again.

I simply like this comedy. It's a terrible nonsense, but I saw it once when I was younger, maybe in my teenage years, which was probably the most appropriate age, and I laughed my head off at it. It got stuck in my memory, so I wanted to come back to it. Now it's obvious that it's a terrible nonsense, but I still can't help it, the nostalgia is palpable, but there are simply parts that are funny, and also characters that are excellent, or at least sexy (well, okay, there's only one).
