Theatre Colosseum prepares for the closing performance of the month. The magician Keats wants to avoid having to perform with Jack Carey, the well-known marksman, as the latter has seduced his wife, the beautiful dancer, Silvia Castellani. It is only thanks to the persuasions of Alice McLean, the manager of the acrobat sisters, that he finally decides to do his show. Carey starts wooing the second of the McLean-sisters, Gloria. Although she has been courted by Freddy Sanz, she finds pleasure in flirting with the handsome marksman. Silvia turns up unexpectedly at their secret rendezvous, and stages a scene of jealousy. Carey is rehearsing a new show with Silvia, and she is seriously injured. It is soon revealed that the blank charge has been replaced by live. Carey is suspected, but Alice McLean discovers that the deed was committed by Silvia, who wanted to die by Jack's hand. In the end, Silvia returns to Keats, Gloria to Freddy, and Carey finds his match in Alice. (Verleiher-Text)
